Hot Ham Sandwich

  • Dijon mustard (1 tbsp)

  • Worcestershire sauce (1/2 tsp)

  • Acacia honey (2 tsp)

  • Mayonnaise (1 tbsp)

  • Sourdough bread (2 slices)

  • Swiss cheese (2 slices)

  • Dill pickles (3-4 slices)

  • Ham (2 slices)

  • Butter (2 tbsp)

  • Thyme (1 tsp)

Note: Ingredient amounts make one sandwich.


  1. Mix mustard, Worcestershire sauce and honey together in a small bowl.

  2. Spread mayonnaise on one slice of bread. Lay on cheese, then pickles, then ham. On the other slice, spread honey mustard, and top the sandwich.

  3. Melt butter on a skillet on medium-high heat. On the melted butter, sprinkle thyme. Set sandwich with the cheese side facing down on skillet and fry until bottom is golden brown. While frying, press the sandwich down with a spatula to flatten it. Flip and fry again, noting that the other side will take less time to turn golden brown. Serve.
