Water (5 cups)
Granulated sugar (1 cup)
Squeeze and strain lemons for their juice. You will need roughly 3/4 cup; more or less depending on how strong you want your lemonade to be.
In a medium-size pot or bowl, stir together water and sugar until all or most sugar granules have dissolved.
Stir in lemon juice and pour into a pitcher. If you wish to drink immediately, add ice and serve; if not, cover pitcher with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1-2 hours.
