Sweet and Sour Meatballs

INGREDIENTS

  • Ground beef (1 lb)

  • Eggs (2)

  • Bread crumbs (1 1/2 cups)

  • Saltine crackers (15 crackers)

  • Worcestershire sauce (1/4 cup)

  • Ketchup (1 1/2 cups)

  • Concord grape jelly (1 1/2 cups)

  • White vinegar (1 tsp)


DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F

  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, bread crumbs, crackers (crushed), and Worcestershire sauce (using hands). Shape into golf ball-sized spheres and set on a baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes.

  3. In a large saucepan, mix together ketchup, jelly and vinegar. Add meatballs and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 30 minutes. Serve on rice or mashed potatoes.
